The People of Salah

Al hamdulillah. It is fantastic to be back at the hadra after 2 weeks. Today's lesson continued with the aqidah of Ahlus Sunnah. And among the many points addressed by Sidna was the Sunni conviction that the generality of Muslims are just that, Muslims: believers.

With more than a pinch of ardor he pointed out with that this was always the conviction of the Sunni Muslims until the advent of the Wahabiya. That group's contribution in the realm of doctrine, he continued, may be summed up in one word that didn't exist before their appearance, shirkiyat (I understood this refer to the proliferated forms of "idolatry" one finds in Wahabi aqidah and the concepts thereto related). This he emphasized is patent falsehood (batil) as are the Wahabiya themselves.

Oh Allah show me the truth as truth and grant me adherence to it and show me falsehood as falsehood and grant me rejection of it. And bless and preserve Sidna and increase his benefit. Amin.
