Power and Accountability

This past week two things have been prominent in my mind as a result of Sidna's durus, power and accountability: not so much in a political or material sense of course.

But when it comes to life, effort, and the spiritual journey it seems these two concepts are of vital importance. There is no strength nor power save through Allah, the High, the Tremendous. Those are precious words of pure truth that I'm learning don't, can't "sink in" if you will except through dhikr. I pray Allah increases me in that enriching elixir, dhikr so that like Sidna I may be characterized by it. Because without it the causes in this world veil and pollute the heart and the fact that there is no strength nor power save through Allah, the High, the Tremendous becomes lost in them and this is a cause of suffering. Subhan Allah.

I bear witness that the wretched suffer.

And as for accountability Sidna says along with the Sufis past and future, "whoever finds good then let him praise Allah and whoever finds other than that then let him blame none but himself". Indeed we are held to account only for things as we experience them. And Allah is the source of clarity and all things pure.
