Moving On...

Al hamdulillah. I'm out and about again after a bout with chickenpox. I've got some catching up to do at work and with studies but such is life. It all seems quite small really when you consider that there is behind it all, Allah. Yesterday's post Latifiya dars was something else.
Sidna was just back from a suhba and was carrying on business as usual without so much as a break as is his habit. His energy and consistency are a patent, lucid karama that can only be lost on the most spirtually blind and impotent. It strikes me every time he travels and returns to the hay. Yet Tuesday night his words and manner were infused with a radiant majesty that made them particuarly moving and penetrating. The dars was about safa, purity of heart with Allah.
One thing he said that stood out with particular force was some words which summarize the essense of safa as total surrender to the Beloved. From memory (I will insha Allah get them as they were said and note them) the words ran something like:
Whether you hold me up or utterly destroy me, whether I am lifted or abased, whether I succeed or fail- You are still as always the Indomitable, Ahad.
