In the Vicinity of Layla

Last Tuesday after the Latifiya the Shaykh read another pearl from Duratul Asrar. It concerned the belovedness to Allah of ihsan towards those possessed of faith and the folk because of their sacrosanct status. It's still fresh in my mind after almost a week. Two murids of Shaykh Abul Hassan were walking behind the Shaykh's camel in the shade of provided by the tent the Shaykh was riding in. (more)

On the Way to Alexandria

Tonight's post Latifiya dars really convinced me to get my hands on a copy of Duratul Asrar of Ibn Sabbagh. I can't promise I'll take it with me to the sessions but my house can always use a bit more light. This week Sidna picked up from the point where Imam Abul Hasan set off for Alexandria. (more)
